Abandoned Leather Factory Part 3

Urbex - Abandoned Leather Factory, Gloversville, NY

A little late, but here are the rest of the photos from the leather factory in Gloversville. This was a great trip, but the hardest to shoot yet. There were entire areas I couldn’t shoot with the kit lens, it’s just too slow. I will probably be ordering the 50mm f/1.8 soon, but I’m still on the fence with that.

I wish I had shots of some of the more interesting spots, too. Check the links at the end for some really fantastic stuff. I wasn’t as happy with my work here as I have been in the past, and part of that was frustration over my gear. While that’s all and good, I’m at the point where my gear is limiting me more than my skill, I just have to keep reminding myself that. Took a few shots with film too, only have about 8 more frames on the roll before I can go get it processed.

Enjoy. Look for another post later, we found some interesting stuff on a walk in washington Park.

Hi! What fantastic shots. Really brilliant. Is this place still standing? I heard it was recently demoed.

Thanks! As far as I know it’s still there, however a few other buildings we wanted to check out in Johnstown were torn down. Thanks for visiting!
